Hi there. Thanks for visiting! I hope you enjoy this random collation of inspirations, notes, thoughts and knowledge sharing of stuff.
I’m a user experience and interaction designer originally from Sydney, Australia but now living in San Francisco. I currently work with the brilliant minds at frog design.
Previously I worked at Massive Interactive on multi-platform and emerging technologies in the connected TV, entertainment and inflight entertainment space. And I’ve also got a B. Design Computing from the University of Sydney.
Passion is a word that gets thrown around a lot, but if you meet me in person you’ll soon find out that it’s something I actually embody on a daily basis. I strive to learn something new each day. I’m particularly fascinated by the intersect of technology and culture. I read a lot. I like to use knowledge in other domains to cross pollinate ideas into the UX process. I’m a believer that good ideas can come from just about anywhere or anyone and it’s key to always be humble and always be learning and adapting to the ever-changing tech landscape.
The idea for this blog is to capture my thoughts, ideas, and things that inspire me. Recently I’ve combined what I used to do in my Tumblr separately, with my blog. You’ll find short links and posts on trends in tech, alongside the longer articles I’ve written, notes I’ve taken at conferences and events, and home grown tools and methods I’ve shared.
In my spare time, I’m also:
- an avid music lover - I play the piano and guitar (and at a time, have also played the violin and alto sax).
- a gadget addict and aspiring maker
- a a hiker and biker – I walk around places, a lot and I don’t own a car
- a tv and film geek – but not at all hardcore
- a little bit of a hippy at heart, though this often conflicts with my addiction to tech
